Written by Zafar Mairaj and directed by Kashif Nisar, “Kabli Pulao” stars Mohammed Ehtashamuddin and Sabeena Farooq in lead roles. The story revolves around a complicated relationship between an old man and a young widow. They are to conceal their marriage despite being a legal relationship because the society doesn’t accept such marriages.

The fourth episode of Kabli Pulao had quite a lot of interesting stuff. Haji has made it clear that no one in the house should be aware of the relationship between him and Barbeena. On the occasion of the wedding, Barbeena adorns the splendid, precious, and bejeweled dress brought by Haji. She also performs a light dance and is watched by the men attending the wedding. She misses her father badly and starts crying putting her head on the shoulder of Haji. That was the center point of this episode.
Most importantly, Shamim has come to know about Haji and Barbeena's relationship. Now Shamim is worried that a young girl has entered Haji's life, after which she has her own worries. Obviously, it should be. On the other hand, Barbeena is now also worried that what happens if someone finds out about her relationship with Haji at home? She is faced with the dilemma of what will happen if she has to leave Haji and his home.
When a young girl (even a widow) has to be compelled to marry an old man, how can people in our society live without talking? Such a marriage is rarely accepted by us. Often an old man has to hear words like of cursing and being lustful for marrying a young girl. But looking at Haji's expression, it seems that he has never been a person like that. He has married Barbina only out of his loneness in old age. He has resolved never to leave Barbeena. Barbeena also falls in love with Haji in spite of his old age, because after becoming a widow and destitute, Haji is now the center of her hopes.
